Free sales order maker
When a customer places an order, confirm it in writing: what you will supply, at what price, and by when. Track it from open to delivered, then turn it into the invoice with one click. No login, nothing sent to anyone.
How to make a sales order here
- Type your business details once. Name, address, state, phone and GSTIN. Saved businesses appear as suggestions while you type.
- Add the customer and their PO number. If the customer sent a purchase order, write its number in "Customer's PO number" so both sides refer to the same order. Saved customers come up as suggestions.
- Add the items as ordered. Quantity, unit, rate, discount and GST rate. Saved items fill in their HSN code, unit, rate and GST rate when you pick them; nothing fills in by itself.
- Set "Delivery by" and the terms. The date you promise to deliver, plus payment, freight and cancellation terms. Keep "Show GST on this document" ticked if you are registered, or untick it.
- Save, then Print / PDF or Share. Share sends a PDF through WhatsApp, email or any app on your phone. On a computer the PDF is downloaded so you can attach it.
- Goods going out? Update the status to Part delivered or Delivered, and press Make invoice. The invoice maker opens with the same customer, items and rates; change the quantities to what was sent before you save.
What it does for you
- Its own number series: SO/26-27/001 onwards, restarting every financial year, with a warning when a number is used twice.
- Ties to the customer's order: their PO number and your delivery date print at the top of the page.
- GST worked out for you: CGST + SGST, IGST or UTGST chosen from the two states, with a tax summary by HSN. Or prices only, if you untick GST.
- Track every order: Open, Part delivered, Delivered, Invoice made or Cancelled, so nothing is forgotten.
- Print the way you need: A4 or A5 paper, Classic design free, Modern and Compact (marked Package, free for now), six colours.
- In your language: 24 languages on screen; the printed sales order stays in English so any customer or transporter can read it.
Your data stays with you
Everything you type is kept in this browser on this device. There is no account and nothing is uploaded to us. Your businesses, customers, suppliers and items are shared with the other Nivesh Sahayak document tools through my.niveshsahayak.in, so details you saved while making an invoice or a quotation are already here as suggestions.

Questions people ask
Is this sales order maker free?
Yes. Making, saving, printing and sharing sales orders is free, with no login and no limit. A small line at the bottom of the page says where it was made.
Is a sales order a GST document?
No. It confirms an order. No tax becomes due because you issue one, and it does not go into your GST returns. GST is charged on the tax invoice when the goods or services are supplied.
What is the difference between a sales order and a purchase order?
The buyer issues the purchase order ("please supply this"); the seller issues the sales order ("we accept and will supply this"). Write the buyer's PO number on your sales order so both refer to the same deal.
Can I deliver one order in parts?
Yes. Make one invoice for each lot with Make invoice, changing the quantities to what went that day, and set the order's status to Part delivered until everything has gone.
How do I turn a sales order into an invoice?
Save it, then press Make invoice. The invoice maker opens with the same customer, items and rates. Choose the invoice number and date, check and save.
Do I need to show GST on a sales order?
It helps the customer see the full amount, so keep "Show GST on this document" ticked if you are registered. Untick it if you are not registered or want to show prices only.
What if the customer cancels?
Set the status to Cancelled and write the reason in Notes. Settle any advance as your terms say. If an invoice was already made, adjust it with a credit note rather than deleting it.
How do I send it on WhatsApp?
Press Share. On a phone the share sheet opens with the PDF attached: pick WhatsApp and the chat. On a computer the PDF is downloaded so you can attach it in WhatsApp Web or email.
